Sunpreme Qualifies Enertis Test Laboratory to Test its Bifacial Modules
Enertis Solar’s module testing laboratory has been approved and added by Sunpreme as a qualified facility to test Bifacial PV Solar Modules.
Enertis Group has developed several mobile solar test labs which currently operate in Europe, North America, and an additional unit that will be available in South America on September 2016. Enertis’ PV Mobile Labs have been funded by the Community of Madrid through aid managed by Madrid Network, an organization created by the Ministry of Finance to promote regional industry R&D.
Sunpreme offer customers with innovative and high quality bifacial modules using HCT technology with Integrated Optimizer. These bifacial modules are double glass, frameless, and feature over 21.5% cell efficiency, which enables 310W 60-cell and 370W 72-cell modules. Enertis Test Lab has been working closely with Sunpreme Inc. to ensure that its engineering, equipment set-up, and flash testing are conducted according to quality standards and to provide valid information regarding the performance of the modules including those from other third party representatives that have been approved by Sunpreme.
“The performance of highly efficient and highly capacitive solar modules requires accurate measurement of maximum power. Sunpreme quality partnership recognizes external test labs for their relentless focus on quality standards and customer service. Enertis’ mobile testing facility in California demonstrated capable of testing this type of technology, and we welcome their test lab to Sunpreme Network”, said Surinder S. Bedi, Executive Vice President for Global Quality and Reliability, System Products and Market Development at Sunpreme.
“With more than 1 million operating solar PV installations in the US, the need for qualified third party testing is now bigger than ever. Advanced mobile testing solutions like Enertis’ PV Mobile Lab reduce downtime of the systems while minimizing the risk of module damage during transportation. Innovative technologies like the HCT from Sunpreme require specific testing approaches. The invaluable support from Sunpreme’s team enabled us to find the right approach for testing this unique technology,” said Iñaki Herrero, Country Manager for Enertis in North America.
With Enertis being an approved testing lab for Sunpreme modules, it will remain an independent third party tester and will provide Sunpreme’s clients with testing services on their modules. Enertis will keep working with pioneering manufacturers to be up to date until standards for bi-facial testing are published.
