Enertis and Opengy new sponsors of Lexus Alcobendas Rugby
The Lexus Alcobendas Rugby, reigning champion of the King’s Cup and leader of the Honour Division, has reached an agreement with the Enertis Group, a global consulting and engineering firm that is a leader in the renewable energy sector, and with Opengy, a company specialized in new solutions for the supply and management of renewable energy, which in turn is part of the group, to join as sponsors of the maroon family for the 2020-2021 season.
This morning, the sponsorship was officially signed by Nacho Ardila, president of the Alcobendas Rugby Club, José Luis Galindo, founder and CEO of the Enertis Group, and Manuel De Castro, CEO of Opengy.
During the event, the president of Club Alcobendas Rugby welcomed the new sponsors, showing them the facilities of Las Terrazas and showing the representatives of Enertis and Opengy the history of Club Deportivo Básico Alcobendas Rugby.
In the words of José Luis Galindo, founder and CEO of the Enertis Group, “Our support for the Lexus Alcobendas Rugby is a reflection of our commitment to build a healthier environment, in line with the third United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDA), which aims to ensure a healthy life and promote well-being for all at all ages. Furthermore, encouraging the practice of sports disciplines such as rugby transmits fundamental values such as teamwork and long-term commitment, while promoting an ethic based on tolerance and passion that generates empathy“.
In the words of Manuel De Castro, Opengy’s CEO, “The Lexus Alcobendas Rugby has demonstrated its capacity to transmit to society as a whole principles that are at the base of sustainable development, such as respect and solidarity. By supporting sport, we support its transformative capacity and contribute to raising awareness of the need to adopt a more environmentally friendly lifestyle by implementing habits that reduce our impact on the environment, such as the consumption of energy from renewable sources“.
With this agreement the maroon club is one step closer to achieve its goals for the current campaign thanks to the support of its sponsors and members who are driving them both on and off the field.
