• El Romero Solar, the largest photovoltaic project in South America, owned by Acciona, will have a verification of the performance of photovoltaic modules

• Part of the plant’s capacity supplies power to Google’s data center in the country

Enertis has been selected to verify the modules of El Romero Solar in Chile, the largest photovoltaic solar plant in South America in terms of capacity. The plant is owned by Acciona, one of the top Spanish corporations, leader in the development and management of renewable energy.

Among other activities, Enertis is carrying out tests to check the degradation of modules directly on site with the PV Mobile Lab – a world pioneer in the performance of these types of inspections. This system minimizes non-productive periods and eliminates the risk of breakage due to transportation of modules to a conventional laboratory.

El Romero solar, with a power of 246 MW, will have an audit of the performance of their modules which produce an amount of power equivalent to the consumption of about 240,000 Chilean homes and meet the demand of Google’s data center in the country.

Enertis’ fleet consists of units available in Europe, the United States and Chile, and is specialized in the provision of services as an independent laboratory accredited by ENAC (National Accreditation Entity), a signatory of the Multilateral Agreement of EA and ILAC on testing.

The mobile laboratory project has been promoted by the Department of Economy and the Treasury, and financed by the Government of the Community of Madrid through the aid managed by Madrid Network, an entity created to promote the regional R & D & I sector.

Enertis has analyzed more than 30,000 modules in more than 150 projects, having operated its mobile laboratories in more than 8 European countries, the United States and Chile.
