Enertis collaborates with AAGES as quality inspector of the first plant in Colombia with bifacial photovoltaic panels
- Enertis has inspected the manufacturing and performance of bifacial photovoltaic panels, carrying out different tests and analyses in its accredited laboratory located in Shanghai.
- The 26 MWp photovoltaic plant ‘La Sierpe’, a pioneering project in the country developed and built by AAGES, is located in the Province of Sucre, Colombia. The plant is set to be fully operational in the second half of this year.
- Enertis has supervised the manufacturing of more than 1 GWp projects involving bifacial technology in Latin-America alone.
Enertis, the leading consulting and engineering company specialising in solar photovoltaic technology, has served as technical adviser and quality assurance supervisor to AAGES in the construction of its first photovoltaic plant in Colombia using bifacial photovoltaic panels.
Over the past two months, Enertis has visited, supervised and sampled bifacial panels at two workshops in China that have been manufacturing the 65,000 400 Wp solar panels which will conform the photovoltaic plant.
As Álvaro Velasco, the Enertis Regional Director in the area, put it, ‘It is an honour to serve as advisor in a pioneering project in Colombia, one with which Enertis has surpassed the 1 GWp mark for inspections on bifacial projects in Latin-America. We are committed to offering high quality services based on the technological development of new and innovative solutions, as is the case here”.
Enertis has permanent offices in Colombia since 2017, where it has amassed more than 2GW of experience in providing consultancy, engineering and quality assurance services in different phases of solar photovoltaic projects.
