Enertis confirmed as a reference company in quality control of solar PV modules, reaching 2.5 GWp in Spain and Portugal since 2018
- Equipment analyzed since 2018 forms part of more than 40 solar PV projects of different sizes located in Spain and Portugal.
- Enertis carried out comprehensive inspections in factories located in China, Malaysia and Thailand, analyzing and evaluating 11 Tier-1 PV module manufacturers.
December 21st, 2020.- Enertis, a leading global consultancy and engineering company in the renewable energy industry, has provided consulting and quality control services for solar PV modules for a total of 2.5 GWp of power since 2018, consolidating its position as reference company in Spain and Portugal.
The equipment analyzed forms part of more than 40 solar PV projects of different sizes, ranging from 7 MWp to more than 260 MWp, all located in the Iberian Peninsula.
Of the overall 2.5 GWp, around 400 MWp are part of PV plants located in Portugal, that is basically most of the new capacity added over the last few years in the country. In Spain, over the last twelve months, Enertis has inspected solar PV modules totaling nearly 800 MWp or a figure representing the important market growth seen over the last years.
Services provided include consultancy on purchasing the modules, auditing and validation of factories prior to their implementation, comprehensive inspections of the manufacturing process and technical evaluations of the equipment at an Enertis’ accredited laboratory in Shanghai before the shipment of batches from factories to PV sites.
As part of the services provided, both for plant owners and EPC contractors, Enertis carried our inspections in factories located in China and in Southeast Asian countries, such as Malaysia and Thailand, visiting more than 11 Tier-1 manufacturers and conducting more than 25 workshops. During the inspections, state-of-the-art crystalline silicon modules have been analyzed, both monofacial and bifacial.

In the first quarter of 2021, Enertis aims to reach 3 GWp of power in quality control contracts for modules for photovoltaic plants in Spain and Portugal, while advancing in the main future challenges of this market, such as the inspection of new panels of high power and size.
